What are negative prompts?
Similar to using prompts to generate images from text, negative prompts specify the terms that should not be present in the generated image.
In the context of stable diffusion, the encoded negative prompt serves as a high-dimensional anchor that the model should avoid during the generation process. You can use negative prompting to remove concepts you don't like, such as features of your output (colors, design aspects, etc) as well as compositional information.
You should not need more than a couple negative prompts, if any, with a well designed model. If you always need 4+ negative prompts to get a good output, reference our walk through guides and consider retraining your model.
