Learn how to craft top view towers for a Tower Defense game using Scenario's Canvas.
Getting Started
- Navigate to Canvas and create a new project.

- For this tutorial, the "Cozy World Builder" model is selected.
Building the Base
- Under the Elements tab, create a square element in the scene.
- Stretch the square to fit the screen and set its color to white.
- Add more square elements with varied colors to represent the top projection of the towers.
- Use the Sketch tool to outline the tower edges.
- Merge these layers, and then make another base for the tower in a different color.
Generating the Tower
- Navigate to the Generate tab.
- Set ControlNet to "Image to Image" and Influence to 25.

Adding Weapons to the Tower
- Hide the tower layer.
- Sketch a "copper pirate powder cannon" to represent rotatable weapons on the towers.
This is made on a new layer so we can easily rotate the canons around the tower during the design process
- Go to the Generate tab and select:
ControlNet: Image to Image
Influence: 25
Prompt:

- Press "Generate".
- Select the desired result.
- If the generated design isn't perfect, use the sketch tool to edit the design and then generate based on the edited sketch.
- Adjust the Influence to 50 for closer adherence to your image.

- Press “Generate”.

- Select the desired result.
- Remove the background.
- Scale down the cannon to fit the tower.
- Hide the layer with the cannon - by clicking on the eye icon on the layer in the right layer panel.
Creating an Ancient Roman Ballista

- Go to the Generate tab and select:
ControlNet: Image to Image
Influence: 50
Prompt:
ancient Roman ballista
- Press “Generate”.
- Select the desired result.
- Remove the Background and scale down the ballista to fit the tower.
Finalizing the Design:
- Remove the background from the towers and separate each tower onto its own layer.
(Remove BG, Duplicate elements, Crop)
- Save the selected tower and weapon layers.
(Download -> Save selected layers)
