YVO3D: The Essentials

The YVO3D family turns flat images into production-ready 3D. Image to 3D builds a textured GLB from a single photo or a more accurate mesh from 2 to 4 multi-view shots, and Retexture wraps fresh AI-generated surfaces onto any GLB you already have, guided by a reference image and scaling all the way to 8K.


What It Does

YVO3D is a two-model toolkit for the middle of a 3D pipeline: getting geometry, then dressing it.

  • Image to 3D converts one reference photo into a textured mesh, or 2 to 4 photos of the same subject from different angles into a more precise shape. Single-image runs can carry surface color and material; multi-view runs always return geometry only. Four generator tiers, from Fast True to Ultima Prime, trade speed against shape quality, and texture resolution scales from 1K to Ultima 8K.

  • Retexture takes an existing GLB and gives it a new surface. Point it at a reference image and it generates color, material, and style to match, at resolutions up to 8K, without touching the underlying geometry.

Both models export GLB, generate UV maps automatically when a mesh is missing them, and share the same family of surface controls for realism, sharpness, and roughness.

In short: reach for Image to 3D when you need the object itself, and Retexture when the shape already exists and only the surface should change.


Parameters

YVO3D Image to 3D

  • Images: One image for a single-view build, or 2 to 4 photos of the same subject from different angles for a more accurate shape. Multi-view uploads always produce shape only, without texture.

  • Texture: On, a single-image model comes with surface color and material; off, you get the bare shape. Ignored for multi-view, which is always shape-only.

  • Model Generator: The shape quality tier, from Fast True through Fast Prime and Ultima True to Ultima Prime. Higher tiers produce better geometry at higher cost.

  • Texture Resolution: Surface detail for textured single-image models, from 1K and 2K up to Fast 4K, Real 4K, and Ultima 8K.

  • Polycount: Target polygon count for shape-only and multi-view generation, up to 2,000,000. Ignored for textured single-image models.

  • Low Poly: Produces a simplified, low-polygon result for a lighter, stylized look. Applies to shape-only generation.

  • High Details: Adds finer geometric detail. Available with the Ultima Prime generator only, and cannot be combined with Low Poly.

  • Auto Polycount: Lets the model choose the best polygon count for you. Ultima Prime only.

  • Realism Level, Creativity: Control how photorealistic the texture looks and how much interpretive freedom the model takes, where 0 stays faithful to your image and 5 is the most imaginative.

  • Generate UVs, Hyper Mode, Inside-Out, Unlit: Automatic UV creation, faster and cheaper texturing at a small quality cost, texturing of interior surfaces, and lighting-free baking so the model looks the same under any scene lighting.

  • Texture Sharpness, Texture Adherence, Roughness: Fine surface tuning for detail, how closely the texture follows your source image, and how matte or glossy the result appears.

YVO3D Retexture

  • 3D Model: The existing GLB you want to give a new surface. Required.

  • Replace Textures: On, the current surface is replaced with newly generated textures and a reference image is required; off, the existing textures are kept.

  • Reference Image: Guides the color, material, and style of the new surface. Required when Replace Textures is on.

  • Texture Resolution: Detail level of the generated texture, from 1K up to Ultima 8K.

  • Realism Level, Creativity: How photorealistic the result looks and how far it can stray from the reference, where 0 stays faithful and 5 is the most imaginative.

  • Generate UVs, Hyper Mode, Inside-Out, Unlit: Automatic UV maps for meshes that lack them, faster cheaper processing, interior texturing for hollow meshes, and lighting-free baking.

  • Texture Sharpness, Texture Adherence, Roughness: The same surface tuning trio as Image to 3D, applied to the regenerated texture.

Tips for Better Results

  • For multi-view Image to 3D, shoot the same subject from clearly different angles with consistent lighting. Remember these runs return geometry only, so plan to add surfaces afterward with Retexture.

  • Use a clean single photo with the subject well separated from the background when you want a textured result in one pass.

  • Match the generator tier to the job: Fast True for quick drafts, Ultima Prime when you need the best geometry, and reserve High Details and Auto Polycount for Ultima Prime runs.

  • Do not pay for resolution you will not see. 1K or 2K is plenty for background props; save Real 4K and Ultima 8K for hero assets and close-ups.

  • Lower Creativity keeps the output faithful to your input, while higher values invite reinterpretation. Start low when accuracy matters and raise it for stylized takes.

  • Turn on Unlit when the asset needs to look consistent across different scene lighting, and use Low Poly when file weight matters more than fine detail.

  • With Retexture, treat the reference image as the art direction: pick one that clearly communicates the color, material, and finish you want, and raise Texture Adherence to stay close to it.


Known Limitations

  • Multi-view Image to 3D never produces texture; you get shape only and must texture it separately.

  • High Details and Auto Polycount are exclusive to the Ultima Prime generator, and High Details cannot be combined with Low Poly.

  • Retexture requires a reference image whenever Replace Textures is on; without one it keeps the existing surface.

  • Higher generator tiers and larger texture resolutions raise both processing time and cost, so the top settings are best reserved for final assets.

  • Results depend heavily on input quality: cluttered backgrounds, motion blur, or inconsistent multi-view angles will show up in the mesh.

  • Building 3D props and set dressing quickly from reference photos, then batching quality with the generator tiers.

  • Restyling a single base mesh into multiple looks, such as seasonal or faction variants, by re-running Retexture with different reference images.

  • Refreshing older or untextured library models with modern, high-resolution surfaces without rebuilding the geometry.

  • Producing lightweight, stylized versions of detailed assets for real-time engines using Low Poly and lower texture resolutions.
