Hi, how can we help you today?

Collections

Collections in Scenario provide a powerful way to organize your images, models, and other assets into cohesive groups, streamlining your workflow and making content easily accessible. When working on different projects in a multi-user environment, collections help keep everything structured and readily available. This guide walks you through creating, populating, and managing Collections with practical tips.

Why Use Collections on Scenario?

Collections simplify asset management by grouping related items: images, models, textures, or even Canvas projects, into one accessible place. You can build collections manually or have assets added automatically (when a model is part of a collection).

Accessing your collections is easy from different places in the Scenario web UI, including via the main menu or via the "search" interface where you can filter results to display only items belonging to specific collections.

Creating a New Collection

  1. From the Left Panel

Anywhere in Scenario, look at the left sidebar at the very bottom. Click on "Collections" to expand the list, then click the "+" symbol to create a new one.

  1. To Name/Rename Your Collection

Click on the title and enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Dungeon Assets" or "Brand Visuals"). Your new Collection is now ready to hold images, models, and more!

Adding Assets to Your Collection

Once your Collection is created, you can easily add assets to keep everything organized:

Add a Single Image

Open an image in your gallery/library, and click "Collection" in the top right. Choose your Collection from the list or create a new one directly

Add Multiple Images to a Collection

In the gallery view, select multiple images by holding Ctrl/Cmd and clicking each one. Click the "Add to Collection" button (bottom-right) and select your target collection. This same process works for Canvas Projects or Skyboxes.

Add Custom Models to a Collection

When on a model page, select "Add to Collection" in the top-right. Choose your Collection from the list or create a new one. Just like with images, you can select multiple models from the gallery and add them all together to a Collection.

Important: All images generated from a model in a Collection will automatically be added to that Collection, keeping your outputs grouped effortlessly.

Managing Your Collections

Keep your Collections organized and tailored to evolving needs with these tips:

Filter by Format

At the top of your Collection page, use the top bar to navigate through specific asset formats (e.g., Images, Textures, Skyboxes, Models, Canvas Projects, Video, 3D). This narrows the view and makes it easy to find what you need in a mixed Collection.

Filter by Type

After selecting a format, you can refine further with the "Filter by Type" option (e.g., Generate, Enhance, Expand).

Upload Images to Your Collection

Navigate to your Collection page and click "Upload Image." Drag and drop files or select them from your device. The images are instantly added and stored. A good practice is to keep all training datasets in separate collections with the tag "Training-Set" (for instance) and other relevant tags or elements in the title. This makes it easier to track and retrieve training sets.

You can delete any Collection via the "Delete Collection" button in the top right. Deleting a Collection removes the grouping but does not delete the assets, they remain in your library. If you want to delete the assets themselves, select them in the collection first and delete them before deleting the Collection.

Practical Tips

  • Use Descriptive Names: Name Collections clearly (e.g., "Character Sprites 2025 - Author Name") for quick recognition.

  • Leverage “Auto-Adding”: Add models to Collections to automatically group all their newly generated images to the Collection.

  • Dynamic Creation: You can create Collections on the fly while viewing an asset.

  • Keep It Clean: Rename or delete outdated Collections to maintain a clutter-free workspace.

You can refine your search within specific collections by enabling "Filters" in the Search interface and selecting the desired Collection(s).

Final Notes

Mastering Collections in Scenario transforms how you organize and access your creative assets. Start by creating a Collection, add your images and models, and use the management tools to keep everything in order. Whether you're a solo creator or part of a large team, Collections ensure your workspace stays efficient and your assets are always at your fingertips.
